ACCOMPLISHMENTS: "Rafi" completed his championship with some very impressive wins. These wins include Best of Winners for a Specialty Major and a Specialty Award of Merit (Saluki Club of Greater San Francisco, October 2000), Best of Winners for a Supported Entry Major (Del Valle Dog Club, October 2000), Best of Winners for another Supported Entry Major (Kennel Club of Palm Springs, January 2001). He also won 3 Best of Breeds from the classes and a Hound Group II. In March 2001, Rafi was awarded a BEST IN SHOW at the COSO Dog Fanciers of California show. He also was awarded a SPECIALTY BEST In SHOW win at the Saluki League of S. Arizona. Rafi was rated as the Number 3 Saluki in the nation for 2001. |

Rafi was awarded a second SPECIALTY BEST In SHOW win at the San Angeles Saluki Club Specialty on May 3rd 2002. In September 2002, Rafi was awarded a second BEST IN SHOW at the Prescott Kennel Club show. Within one month, Rafi won a third BEST IN SHOW at the Black Mountain Kennel Club show and a third SPECIALTY BEST IN SHOW at the Saluki Club of Greater San Francisco in October 2002. He ended 2002 with 3 GROUP 1s in a row at the Long Beach shows. Rafi was rated as the Number 1 Saluki in the nation for 2002. Rafi has started out January 2003 with a SPECIALTY BEST OF BREED at the Inland Empire Hound Specialty and a fourth BEST IN SHOW at the Beverly Hills Kennel Club show. In February 2003, Rafi was awarded BEST OF BREED at the prestigious Westminster show! In June 2003, Rafi was awarded Best Opposite Sex at the Saluki National in Kentucky (an entry of 429 Salukis!). In July 2003, Rafi was awarded yet another SPECIALTY BEST IN SHOW win at the San Angeles Saluki Club Specialty. He also won Best of Breed both days at the Lompoc Show (both supported entries by SASC and ASA). He defeated 272 Salukis over the 3 days. At the 2003 American Saluki Association annual awards banquet, Rafi was awarded the Breed Challenge Shield. This award is given to the Saluki that defeats the largest number of dogs in Breed and Group competition. On September 27, 2003, Rafi was awarded his fifth BEST IN SHOW at the Kennel Club of Riverside. Rafi was awarded another SPECIALTY BEST OF BREED at the Cascade Hound show on October 4, 2003. On October 16, 2003, Rafi was awarded his fifth SPECIALTY BEST IN SHOW at the Central Arizona Saluki Association Specialty. Rafi was award his 6th BEST in SHOW at the Burbank Kennel Club on December 15, 2003 - this was the last show of 2003 so what a way to finish the year! The first weekend of the year, Rafi was awarded a SPECIALTY BEST OF BREED at the Inland Empire Hound show as well as back-to-back Group 1s at the Palms Springs show and his 7th BEST IN SHOW! Rafi was awarded another Specialty BEST in SHOW at the SCOA Western Regional Specialty and his 8th BEST IN SHOW at the Rio Hondo Kennel Club show in April 2004 as well as another Specialty Best of Breed at the Western Hound Association Specialty in May 2004!
